Tiggdo provides a platform for news and media organisations that allows readers to personalise the news on mobile phones.

Working with BBC Backstage, the BBC is trialling the use of the Tiggdo platform to allow their readers to personalise the news to their own preferences on mobile phones.

To demonstate the flexibility and uniqueness of Tiggdo, the BBC have provided their readers with the following news setup options:

  • UK Location Based
    Select a UK town and you are provided four default news items based on the location ( local weather, traffic,local news and latest front page news).

  • Create Your Own
    Pick and choose from over 200 BBC news and sport categories and add your own (available worldwide).

  • International Languages
    The BBC News is also available in 19 international languages on your mobile phone.
